Touch (2024)
Jonas•Dir. Baltasar Kormákur•Focus Features•2024
In Touch, Siggi plays Jonas, a sharp and pragmatic economics student in 1969 London. Disillusioned by idealism, Jonas is annoyed when his friend Kristófer decides to abandon his studies in search of a greater purpose. With biting sarcasm, Jonas challenges him to do something practical—like apply for a job at a Japanese restaurant. Unexpectedly, Kristófer takes the advice, setting off a quiet chain of events that alters the course of his life. Decades later, we follow Kristófer piecing together fragments of a forgotten past, as old letters resurface and memories of a first love come rushing back. The film is a lyrical exploration of connection, regret, and the tender threads that bind us across time.
